User Research has traditionally used ethnographic and self-reporting techniques to understand users. This often happens separately from other analytic and telemetric data captured about users. Mobile devices now have a variety of sensors that can provide us with valuable data. Similarly, the always-connected nature of these devices offers new ways to gather information. In this presentation, we will look at the strengths of each type of data, review the tools available, and demonstrate a visualization of output of these methods.
